Wu Siu Hong, the Hong Kong chief bowling player who represented the Hong Kong team to participate in the Asian Games 2018 in Jakarta, has achieved great success in international competitions. In 2015, he won the 51st Bowling World Cup and last year the gold medals in the "Bowling World Championship" men's triathlon with Mak Cheuk Yin and Tseng Tak Hin. Wu was diagnosed of cancer in 2014, but with his positive attitude, he recovered successfully. This year marks the 20th anniversary of his becoming a professional player. He has also been awarded the Justice of the Peace (JP) by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government for his contribution to the Hong Kong sports community. To commemorate this important moment, Memorigin has cooperated with him to launch the 20th Anniversary Tourbillon watch to promote the spirit of the Hong Kong athletes.
Wu Siu Hong said that he was more focused on the results before he became ill, but after going through a serious of illness, he became more focused on the process. The first time he became a designer, he frankly hoped to dedicate this watch to his father in heaven and to tell his father that he has never forgotten his teachings to be happier and to enjoy every minute of his life.
The watch is dominated by a solid black color, just as the bowler must be calm and concentrate on the game. The carbon fiber bezel is decorated with the screws of the bowling ball. In particular, the 4 o'clock position, that is, the 20-minute position, is used as a red bowling ball for Wu Siu Hong's 20th Anniversary. The tourbillon, which rotates at 6 o’clock, like the bowling ball thrown by the athlete, pushes the bowling pins all the way, showing the important moment of "Strike" on the small skeleton dial. The bowling pins are in a flying form and are full of movement!
A bright red inner ring and the red luminous dauphine hands are creating a finishing touch on the black watch. The time scale is indicated by black diamonds. The designer is dedicated to changing the position of "3" and "8" to blue diamonds, the homophonic sound of "300” in Chinese – which means the highest score in a single game. That is, 12 Strikes are continuously thrown, and the "Perfect Game" is achieved! Memorigin carefully selected the tourbillon with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour for this series of watches. It is stable and accurate with a 40-hour power reserve movement both internally and externally, like bowlers, always fight at the best.
