Having been in the tailoring industry for 41 years, Chief Tailor Ben Hung prides himself on making the best bespoke menswear for his clients. The mechanical tailoring method which he developed combines the multidimensional and the traditional tailoring techniques. It is also described as an innovative breakthrough in the field. While Ben's Tailor offers the finest hand-crafted custom-design suits that stand the test of time, the Hong Kong tourbillon watch brand Memorigin found that Ben shared the same vision on aesthetic hand craftsmanship. With the aim to tell a rich history through a creation, they teamed up to launch the Tailor tourbillon watch.
The tailor-themed timepiece features a pair of gold scissors on the dial. It represents the world's most prestigious Forbici d'Oro (Golden Scissors) award and the highest honor for the art of tailoring in Italy. A tailor's measuring tape encircling the dial indicates the time indices. The timeless design is filled with elements of tailoring. Highlighting the exquisite craftsmanship, the manual-winding tourbillon movement with 173 pieces of subassembly module and 20 jewels has a 40-hour power reserve and a vibration frequency of 28,800 oscillations per hour.
The first 10 customers who pre-order the Tailor tourbillon watch can enjoy the bespoke service at Ben's Tailor and get a tailor-made suit (R.P. HKD14000) with the finest fabrics for FREE. Memorigin's Founder William Shum and the Advisor of the Board of Directors Shum Mak Ling visited Ben's Tailor to get their personalized suits. From the deftly measurement to fabric selection, Ben crafted the apparel with utmost care and attention to detail.
