The design inspiration comes from the Sun’s gradual appearance on the horizon when it rises. A white enamel sub-dial in crescent shape sits on the upper part of the blue main dial. It partly covers the day and night indicator at the three o’clock position and the GMT display on the left. The hands of the latter rotate across the two dials.
