Memorigin, the renowned Hong Kong tourbillon watch brand, continues its legacy of blending meticulous craftsmanship with timeless aesthetics. In celebration of Memorigin's 10th anniversary in 2021, the brand embarks on an exciting breakthrough. Teaming up with Swiss Koncept, the renowned Swiss watch development company founded by master watchmakers Kaj Korpela and Costya Vigneri, Memorigin introduces MEMOIRE, a new high-end watch sub-brand. This collaboration brings exceptional quality, technical expertise, and visionary concepts to Hong Kong, redefining the standards of luxury timepieces.
After three years of communication, design, and development, MEMOIRE proudly presents its inaugural timepiece, the Aspirare Tourbillon Watch. The name "Aspirare" signifies the brand's profound desire and pursuit of exquisite watchmaking craftsmanship. It represents the rare and precious collaboration between a Hong Kong watch brand and a Swiss watch development company, elevating the design standards and quality of timepieces in Hong Kong to new heights.
Swiss Koncept has undertaken a comprehensive overhaul and enhancement of Memorigin's in-house movement. Every component of the movement undergoes meticulous hand polishing, finishing, and assembly. Each timepiece requires over a hundred hours of dedicated craftsmanship, where the mainplate is meticulously hand-polished, and both the inner and outer sides of the bridges are meticulously polished. Furthermore, the gears undergo meticulous chamfering. Every single part and every step in the process is executed with utmost precision and attention to detail.
The refined movement of the Aspirare Tourbillon Watch is composed of 155 components and 25 jewel bearings, boasting a power reserve of 40 hours and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The baseplate of the movement proudly bears the inscription "DESIGNED & HANDCRAFTED BY SWISS CONCEPT," testament to its exceptional craftsmanship and precious nature.
The Aspirare Tourbillon Watch embodies the perfect fusion of watchmaking craftsmanship and artistic design, showcasing the essence of Swiss horology while incorporating the cosmopolitan aesthetics of Hong Kong. With a diameter of 40 millimeters, the dial adopts the popular salmon hue of recent years, adorned with sandblasted finishing and subtle straight lines, creating a multi-layered gray circular dial complemented by three-dimensional hour markers, exuding a contemporary and timeless appeal.
The watchmakers intricately design the skeletonized dial, enabling wearers to admire the movement's intricate components through the sapphire crystal. Additionally, the mainspring barrel is engraved with the words "SWITZERLAND" and "HONG KONG," symbolizing the passage of time as the text rotates, serving as a testament to this cross-border collaboration.
