Marvel Series Tourbillon Watch

Superheroes, they fight for justice and have conquered the hearts of the young and old around the world with their charm. Over the last few years, Memorigin has been proud to create a number of superhero-themed timepieces catered specifically to fans of the genre. In 2015, the brand collaborated with Marvel for the first time to offer critically acclaimed tourbillon pieces based on Iron Man (Mark 45) and Captain America from Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron released in 2015. This year, Memorigin is teaming up with Marvel again to launch three Marvel-themed watches: Iron Man (limited to 127 pieces), Thor (limited to 26 pieces) and Spider-Man (limited to 67 pieces).

Crafted in stainless steel, the case received the electroplating treatment and is presented in its namesake character’s signature colours - red and yellow gold. The Iron Man Tourbillon dial’s design drew inspiration from the moment when Iron Man’s chest plate opens up, exposing the watch’s movement to evoke the mechanical underpinnings of the character’s armour. The bezel is engraved with the words “Tony Stark” and his defining attribute - “The Genius”. Memorigin has always been very attentive to details. Illuminating night paint is added to the eyes and the reactor of Iron Man so that his heroic and valiant look can still be seen in the dark.

The dial is accessorized with Iron Man’s iconic Arc Reactor to inject life into the timepiece. The arc reactor is positioned at the 9 o’clock position and doubles as the power reserve indicator. A night and day indicator is featured at the 3 o’clock position, stamped with the phrase “Armor Up”. Other cool details include the Avengers logo on the crown, as well as Iron Man’s mask on the stainless steel clasp. With an adjustable stainless steel bracelet, it brings more convenience to users.

The Thor Tourbillon’s design is inspired by the God of Thunder’s armour and signature weapon, and blends specific elements from Thor’s costume with the dial. The watch also pays homage to the six iconic discs on Thor’s armour as well as his red cape, by merging these elements into the dial’s structure. Fans of the character will love the sculpted relief of Thor as he appears in the comics, featured at both the 12 o’clock position and on the crown. Another design highlight is the pair of sculpted wings from Thor’s helmet being featured on either side of the tourbillon at the 6 o’clock position.

The attention to detail extends to the watch hands themselves, with the Avengers logo featured on the centre axis of the pointers. The hour hand comes in the shape of Thor’s hammer Mjölnir, while the minute hand is in the shape of a thunderbolt. Topping off this beautiful tribute to the mighty God of Thunder is a rugged stainless-steel watch case treated in black PVD, capped off with a red alligator strap to evoke the Asgardian’s iconic red cape.

The dial on the Spider-Man Tourbillon draws inspiration from the red and dark blue colours of Spider-Man’s suit. The character’s mask subtly peeks out from underneath the dazzling rose gold-plated Spider-Man logo that dominates the dial. Both the crown and the centre of the watch feature Spider-Man’s mask. Additionally, spiderweb patterns were stamped on the leather watch strap to further inject the character’s DNA into the piece.

The most exciting element of the watch appears at the tourbillon display at the 6 o’clock position. To bring out the dynamic nature of the character, our designers meticulously crafted an upside-down Spider-Man swinging into action on top of the rotating tourbillon mechanism. The night and day indicator at the 3 o’clock position represents Spider-Man’s never-ending crusade against the city’s criminals to keep residents safe.

Besides their exquisite appearance, these three timepieces are equipped with Memorigin’s flying tourbillon movement that beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (vph). The movement is stable, accurate and backed by 80 hours of power reserve, ensuring these pieces are as beautiful on the inside as they are outside.
